HUNTING PROPERTY LEASE TERMS:

TERM: 2 year lease

ANNUAL RENTAL FEES:

  • 3-18 acres for $ 400 per year
  • 19-39 acres for $ 600 per year
  • 40-54 acres for $ 800 per year
  • 55-90 acres for $1,000 per year
  • 91+ acres for $ 11 per acre per year

CLERICAL FEE:

$ 400 clerical fee due upon signing original hunting lease. (due only in the first year of the lease.)

LIABILITY INSURANCE:

  • Cost of AHLA liability insurance for property under 500 Acres = $185.00 due annually to AHLA for period of Aug. 1 to Aug.1. 
  • Lessor’s AHLA insurance handling fee= $ 65.00 due annually to Lessor.

$1 million liability insurance per occurrence and $2 million aggregate liability policy, listing Lessor as “additional insured.”

LIABILITY / INDEMNITY WAIVERS:

A liability/indemnity waiver must be signed by each Lessee/family member/friend/or person who will be going onto the property. The first 5 hunting members/persons are included in the lease fee.

If there are more than 5 persons permitted on the property, a $50.00 fee will be charged per person.

BOUNDARY LINE PAINTING:

Prior to hunting, Lessee will paint boundary lines every 5 years, beginning with the first year the hunting lease is written.

ADDITIONAL LEASE TERMS:

    • Prior to hunting, Lessee will paint boundary lines every 5 years, beginning with the first year the hunting lease is written.
    • Prior to hunting, Lessee will post “no trespassing” signs around the entire perimeter of the property, at their expense
    • Mowreys or any of their agents or representatives are allowed on the property at any time for timber harvesting, development, etc.
    • Gates will be installed at Lessee’s expense, if necessary.
    • No permanently affixed tree stands are permitted on the property.
    • No shoe spikes or climbing spikes
    • No screw-in steps are permitted on the trees.
    • No 4-wheelers, motorcycles, or any all-terrain vehicles are permitted at any time.
    • No trapping permitted.
    • No open fires are permitted.
    • No timber cutting of any kind.
    • If Owners sell the land, the lease becomes null and void.
  • Owners have the right to cut timber on the property at any time.

Example: 1st year cost for (5) hunting members

$ 800 = annual lease fee
$ 400 = clerical fee
$ 185 = annual AHLA liability insurance fee
$ 65 = Lessor’s AHLA insurance handling fee
$1,450= Cost for 1st year

Example: 2nd year cost for (5) hunting members

$ 800= annual lease fee
$ 185= annual AHLA liability insurance fee
$ 65 = Lessor’s AHLA insurance handling fee
$1,050 = Cost for 1st year
